Structures, or buildings, are mainly comprised of material storage and housing for your Trimps, but other special structures include Traps, Gyms, Tributes and the Nursery.

Traps

Traps are the first structures introduced in the game. With 10 wood and 10 food, the player can create a trap. Once checked, each trap adds one Trimp to the population. However, with each level of the Bait perk, the player increases the amount of Trimps collected per trap by one.

Housing

Housing structures are made in order to increase the max population of Trimps. All housing structures except for the Hut and the House require gems to buy.

Housing Upgrades

Some housing types get upgrades further on in the game to allow them to increasing the amount of Trimps each unit stores. At the moment, all of the below upgrades increase the amount of Trimps housed by the respective housing by 2x.

"You found blueprints detailing how to upgrade your Warpstation. Blimey!"

Storage

Storage structures are used to store Food, Wood, and Metal. Each upgrade costs one-fourth of the current maximum of a material, and in return it doubles the maximum storage amount of that material.

Name Unlock Requirement
Barn Reach 350 food at the game start.
Shed Reach 350 wood at the game start.
Forge Reach 350 metal at the game start.

Gyms

Found in Zone 2, gyms are the first source of blocking introduced to the player. Each gym initially blocks 4 damage. An upgrade Blockmaster in Zone 4 increases that by 50%, allowing 6 damage to be blocked per gym.

At zone 25 you start getting an upgrade called Gymystic. You will get one every 5 levels, with the last one at level 55. The first upgrade makes each gym you have gives a compounding 5% more block to every gym. Subsequent upgrades gives an additional 1% more block. When fully upgraded (7 in total), each guym you have gives a compounding 11% more block to every gym. In short, the base block of your gym is multiplied by (1.04+level of upgrade*0.01)^number of gyms.

Tribute

The Tribute structure is unlocked after retrieving The Egg in Zone 17. The Egg is guarded by a random common monster in the center cell of the zone and it is denoted by a bullseye-like icon. Once the monster is defeated and The Egg is researched through the 'Upgrades' tab, you have unlocked the Tribute structure and may start upgrading it.

The Tribute structure's description reads "Pay a tribute of food to your Dragimp, increasing his appetite and his speed. He will gather gems 5% faster (compounding)". It should be noted that compounding amounts can multiply quite quickly and give large yields at higher levels (example table and equation shown below).

Tribute Level 25 50 75 100 125 150 175 200
Gems/second 1.69 5.73 19.4 65.8 223 754 2553 8646

The equation used to find gems/second at any level is:

(0.5 * (1.05 ^ Tribute Level)) * % from Motivation Perk

Nursery

The Nursery blueprint can be found in maps, level 23 or higher. Nurseries enhance your breeding speed by 1% with compounding effect. Here is a chart to quantify the effect it has on breeding:

Levels (x)  Effect on Breeding Rate (1.01 ^ x)

70

≈ doubles breeding rates

111

≈ triples breeding rates

140

≈ quadruples breeding rates

209

≈ octuples breeding rates
